| Mission
It is our ethical responsibility, as deaf, hearing, and hard of hearing social workers providing services to deaf and hard of hearing people, to continue to create and maintain pathways for communication, networking, and organizing within the profession worldwide. While programs such as Gallaudet's have contributed to an increase in the number of professional social workers specializing in the field of deafness, technology has also provided us with the means for communicating, networking and organizing together. In pursuit of that goal, as graduate students in a social work macro practice class at Gallaudet, it is our responsibility to establish and maintain this network. Not only to create and establish future pathways to communication among social workers within the field, but for all those interested in the the field of deafness, families, friends, and supporters alike. We encourage your collaboration in this effort by welcoming the sharing of additional resources and information to this site. It is the mission of the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing Social Workers (DHHHSW) site to serve all human service workers throughout the United States and the World.
