| Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing Social Workers (DHHHSW) Welcome to the home page for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing social workers (DHHHSW) who work with deaf and hard of hearing consumers! DHHHSW gives social workers and the general public who work with deaf and hard of hearing consumers a way to network with each other, and share resources and ideas on how to better serve the deaf and hard of hearing population. We have an on-line discussion forum. This discussion forum allows us to network with colleagues, share concerns, discuss practice issues, and brainstorm ideas for advocacy efforts. The discussion forum is available at http://academic.gallaudet.edu/dhhhswforum or just click the "forum" link in the top right corner of this page. (To get back to this page from the forum, click the "home" link in the same place). Please feel free to include your e-mail address and other contact information. We will continually update information on this website, so please visit the site often. We can also be reached at: dhhhsw@hotmail.com We would like to network with as many social workers who provide services to deaf and hard of hearing consumers as possible. Please share our URL address with anyone you know who might be interested! Aside from the discussion forum, we have a library which provides up-to-date resources related to deafness. There are suggested articles, books, websites, agency and organization contact information. We would like to keep these resources up to date and comprehensive. Therefore, feel free to add any resources you have to help us meet this goal. You can do this by going into the DHHHSW Library and clicking in the top left corner on "New Resources".
