Learning Technology says "Farewell" to Dr. Martin Noretsky Unit: Academic Technology (All Units)
Dr. Martin Noretsky, faculty member in the Educational Foundations and Research department has completed his four year "temporary" assignment to Academic Technology. Marty was "loaned" to the Learning Technology office four years ago as a Faculty Liaison to help educate and motivate faculty and staff in web-enhanced or web-based learning. He returned to his department following graduation on May 17 of this year.
Marty's knowledge has been recognized in his leadership in developing model applications of web-based teaching and learning which he shared with Departmental Chairs and faculty. He has helped them achieve their instructional goals with the infusion of technology. Marty also created the Faculty Center website and facilitated the completion of the Gallaudet Writer's Handbook online.
Marty has been known to take a novel idea or project and make it successful; his support and leadership of various Mellon projects, and managing and organizing the e-Curriculum 2001 projects.
Marty will be missed by the other Learning Technology staff who have had the opportunity to work with him and especially learn from him. We will miss him!
