This email is a reminder that use of computers in classrooms managed by Academic Technology require users to login with their GDOC user information. If you are teaching in any of the classrooms listed below, please remember to check your GDOC username and password before going to the classroom.

If you don't know your GDOC password, reset it via http://passwords.gallaudet.edu
Verify that your GDOC password works by logging into http://my.gallaudet.edu or http://academic.gallaudet.edu

When you arrive at the classroom, use your GDOC username and password to log into the computer. When you complete your work, remember to log-off the computer. If you forget to log-off, the next person using the computer has access to your Z: drive and is identified as you, should that person attempt to do something destructive on the network.

The Z: drive is a personal file storage area available for all members of the community. You can access this area from anywhere in the world, using your GDOC username (entered as gdoc\first.last) and password, at http://myfiles.gallaudet.edu.

If you wish to have easy access to your Z: drive from your office computer, follow the instructions below.

1. Double-Click on My Computer
2. Select Tools and then "Map Network Drive"
3. Choose the Z: drive
4. In the folder field, type \\fileserver1\home\first.last (e.g., your GDOC username)
5. Verify that the checkmark is in the field "reconnect at logon"
6. Click "connect using a different user name."
7. Enter your GDOC username with the word GDOC and a backslash in front on it (e.g. GDOC\first.last)
8. Enter your GDOC password
9. Click OK
