Why should I apply to participate in this program?

Why should I apply to participate in this program?
You will develop the functional proficiency in Spanish and the cultural sensitivity that will allow you to become more marketable to prospective employers.

Will I receive credits for participating in this program?
Yes, but you need to contact your VR and your Department Chair at your home institution to make sure that the credits will transfer.

How will I pay for the program?
You might be eligible to receive some VR support and financial aid. There might be a few scholarships available to help you pay for travel expenses.

What do I need to do to be eligible for this program?
You need to have a 3.0 GPA or better and you need to have completed at least two semesters of Spanish with a "B" average or better. If you have never taken any Spanish courses but you know Spanish, you have to demonstrate your proficiency by chatting online in Spanish with the Project Director.
